Temple Beth Elohim (TBE) is a community deeply committed to spiritual searching, the study of ethics and morality, the pursuit of justice, and deeds of loving-kindness.

TBE is a community with a diverse population of over 1,100 families from more than 37 communities throughout Greater Boston.

We provide a multitude of opportunities for involvement including: social justice activities, formal and informal education programs, participatory and joyful worship, nursery school and toddler programs, religious school for grades K through 12 and extensive opportunities for adult learning.

Temple Beth Elohim is affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism.

Rabbi Or Rose is the director of the Center for Global Judaism of Hebrew College.

He is also co-director of CIRCLE, a joint center for interreligious learning and leadership jointly sponsored by HC and Andover Newton Theological School.

Rabbi Rose, a prolific writer and speaker, is serving as visiting scholar at TBE in 2014-2015.

Spiritual Integration: A Work-in-Progress is a yearlong initiative that builds on the spiritual-ethical pillars of Jewish life at TBE.

Over the course of the year, Rabbi Rose will facilitate a number of different opportunities for study, discussion, and reflection.

In this context, we will explore such issues as spontaneous and fixed prayer, ancient and modern forms of text interpretation, and the relationship between acts of loving-kindness and Tikkun Olam.
